Design Thinking is a problem-solving process that we borrow from the design community that emphasizes observation, experimentation, and creativity. Design Thinking is not limited to a specific industry or area of expertise, and "designers" can be anyone from a program director to a to a middle-school math teacher.

Practitioners of Design Thinking use the process to create new and innovative ideas that solve really tough problems. They seek to turn seemingly intangible concepts - like safety, equality, and efficiency - into a tangible, actionable discovery process. Sounds like something the nonprofit world could use, right?

During this robust panel presentation moderated by Lansie Sylvia, HMC's Director of Engagement, we'll explore the basic principles of Design Thinking and hear from regional leaders who have brought this innovative methodology to a variety of industries. Panelists include:

The event is proudly hosted by the Regional Foundation Center at the Free Library of Philadelphia. We will be in the Skyline Room, located on the 4th Floor. A light breakfast will be available, generously sponsored by Philadelphia University

The panel will begin promptly at 9:30am and conclude at 10:30am. Come early at 9am or stay late until 11am for mingling and networking!

You must have a ticket to attend this event.
