ABOUT ABOUT

It's no secret that voter turnout has been declining rapidly. More and more it seems that Americans have little confidence in our political system.

But not everyone is throwing up their arms in frustration. Some of us are joining hands to do something.

During this spirited presentation, we'll speak with four groups who are attempting to answer significant questions about how we can revitalize our democracy through new initiatives—and give you the opportunity to vote for the most game-changing idea.

  • FairVote: Why are common-sense voting solutions so difficult to implement?

  • The National College Vote Challenge - What are the current barriers to student engagement and where are there opportunities for systemic change?

  • Next Stop: Democracy! - Can public art increase civic engagement?

  • The Philadelphia Municipal Election Voting Lottery - Does the prospect of winning $10,000 turn out more voters?

Valuable questions, all. But here's another one....

Will any of these ideas actually WORK?

Join co-hosts Here's My Chance and the Philadelphia Citizen for an evening of data and dialogue, moderated by Larry Platt, editor of The Philadelphia Citizen.

Light refreshments will be available. Huge thanks to the Philadelphia Citizen and Industrious for hosting us at their beautiful offices!
